SUPPORT

The Buckhorn High School Band program is located just outside of Huntsville.  We are experiencing significant growth as our area expands, our schools grow, and students get more and more excited about the opportunities and experiences our bands have proven to offer.  In order to continue to offer first-class performance opportunities to our deserving students, we truly need your support!  Our band is 100% self-sustaining.  We receive no school, school system, or state funding.  Therefore, all instruments, travel, maintenance, uniforms, music, etc. are funded through band fees and fundraising.

We have an award-winning marching band program that was invited to perform the National Anthem at the Vanderbilt Marching Invitational as returning Small Division Champions, in the Fall of 2012.  Our band subsequently competed in the Large Division, winning its class, and ranking second among all competing bands regardless of size!  Our Symphonic Bands have consistently earned the highest possible ratings at State Assessments over the past decade and received all Superior Ratings “With Distinction” in the Spring of 2012.  The Buckhorn Band has performed in the Macy’s Day Parade, among many other venues across the Eastern US, including New York City in April 2013.  With our current growth and the imminent increase in membership over the next several years, we need the support of our community and hope that you’ll consider supporting our band in one or more of the many ways you can!

Band students and their parents participate in a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. During football season, band parents manage and run the concessions stand.  The band sells cookie dough and school spirit items such as clothing, blankets and tumblers.

We also are accepting sponsorships, if you would like to donate or have a business that would like to sponsor the band with your tax-deductible donation!  Click here to learn more about sponsoring the Buckhorn Band.
