Concert Attire

Attention parents of freshman (/first year) students (and any veteran students who may need a new tux or dress, or need to have it altered because of your student’s growth) for participation in concert-band performances:

The time is quickly approaching for our students to need their concert attire (tuxes / dresses).  The first time we will wear them will be Friday, November 9th for the Veterans Program.  If a student cannot acquire the concert attire by this time, they can wear solid black dress attire (black dress shoes, tall black socks, black dress pants/slacks, black button up shirt) but will definitely need the official attire by the Winter Concert in December (specific date TBD).  The concert attire is also used for other concert-band-based performances we are invited to throughout the year, MPA in March, and the Spring Concert(s).

You may remember seeing a portion in the handbook about concert attire (pasted at the bottom for your convenience) but this is a reminder that now is the time to review those guidelines and visit the StageAccents website link to see about cost and delivery time, and place your order.  The StageAccents website is the best place we have found over the years for our simple and classy attire at an affordable price (particularly for a full tux which our young men can and have used in the past for other occasions – in full or part).  With that said, young men do not have to get their tux from StageAccents but can acquire a tux at other stores as long as it meets the specific requirements below.  Our young ladies, however, must acquire the Short Sleeve Bel Aire dress from StageAccents and, like our young men, can use it for other occasions if desired.

*Both tux pants and dresses will come long and must be hemmed (according to the guidelines in the handbook/below).

*Please follow the sizing guidelines on the website to choose the best fit for your student.  It is important that measurements are taken accurately.  If you have any doubt how to get the measurements needed for sizing, please have an experienced friend or professional measure your student.

– One of our band parents, Mrs. Green, has informed me that her uncle has done measurements and alterations for local stores for a long time and is willing to do measurements and alterations for our students.  Please contact Mrs. Green for his information – [email protected]
