Welcome back to school from what I hope was a great break. Yesterday was our first day back and as I told the students I am very anxious to get started on what I feel will be our best music program yet. As we prepare for this semester I wanted to post an article that I hope will get us started. |

Family Fun Night Planning Meeting |

There will be a meeting next Tuesday night at 6:30pm in the band room for anyone interested in helping with the Family Fun Night event. This event is our largest fundraising opportunity during the spring semester and we need as much help from parents and students as possible. |

The 2009 Holiday Concert will be held next Monday in the Gold Gym of Buckhorn High School at 7:15pm. The original time was 6:30 but due to gym scheduling conflictions we must move the concert back to 7:15pm. This concert will include groups from Riverton Middle, New Market and Buckhorn High School. We hope to see everyone there. |

I am closely watching the weather to see if we will be able to march today. As of now I believe the rain will hold off until after the parade. If anything changes I will post here. |

 This Saturday the band will perform in the 2009 New Market Christmas Parade at 1:00pm. The parade will start and end at New Market School and we hope to see everyone there.
