This Saturday the band will perform in the 2009 New Market Christmas Parade at 1:00pm.  The parade will start and end at New Market School and we hope to see everyone there.

Call Time
Students should be at New Market School by 12:30pm on Saturday.  The band room will be open from 11:45 to 12:15 in order for students to pick up their instruments before the parade and will be open just a few minutes after the parade to return equipment.  The parade should be over by 12:30.

Attire
Students will not wear uniforms.  All students should wear something red or green.  Christmas hats are permitted. 

ACT Testing
All students taking the ACT test on Saturday morning should see Mr. Raney to make arrangements for the parade.

Rehearsals
Rehearsals for the parade will be held on Thursday and Friday during class.  Students should bring clothing that will allow them to be comfortable marching around the track during these rehearsals.

Rain
There is currently a 40% chance of rain on Saturday.  If the parade is cancelled I will post it on the website or hang a sign on the band room door confirming the cancellation.  Do not assume the parade is cancelled unless you here it directly from me or the website.
