Band Preview, Booster Meeting, Ice Cream Social
Hello band parents,
It’s hard to believe that band camp has come and gone … and the first day of school is just around the corner!
As has become the tradition the past couple years, we’d like to combine our first Band Booster meeting with an exciting marching band preview immediately following … and then some ice cream at our annual Ice Cream Social. Mr. Souder and our band staff believe that the students have gotten more accomplished during the 2 week band camp this year than previous years. You should be proud of your students, they should be proud of themselves for all they accomplished at camp and I think we are all looking forward to the show preview!
So please mark your calendars now:
BHS Band Fall Parent Preview Agenda, Thursday the 17th of August, 2017
6:00pm – Band Booster Meeting – all parents and guardians requested to attend
7:00pm – adjourn to marching field for the Parent Preview of … “Run!”
7:30pm – back to the cafeteria for our annual ice cream social – parents and students invited!
Our first Band Booster Association meeting is key, so make sure you attend. You’ll get to meet your Booster Board, hear about plans for the year, get details about our operating budget, and get information about how you can volunteer and get involved with your band program!
Also let me take this opportunity to “introduce” you to your Band Booster Board officers. We use email extensively for communication, so you’ll see these folks engaging you frequently from the Charms email system.
